Text description provided by the architects. Zeidler Partnership was chosen by Assuta Medical Centers Ltd. of Israel to design a 280 inpatient beds, 500,000 sq.ft. diagnostic and surgical procedures hospital in Tel Aviv.
The project adds significantly to the capacity of the existing six Assuta facilities in Israel. It is located in the northern sector of Tel Aviv on Habarzel Street and backs onto Hayarkon Park situated on the Hayarkon River.
The project includes 4 levels of parking below grade and approximately 50,000 sq. m. of accommodation above grade, located on a 12,000 sq. m. site. The hospital program was developed by the Metis Advisory Group. The design features the diagnostic and treatment functions, including 16 surgical suites, 27 ICU rooms, 17 dialysis stations, 38 day surgery stations, 2 cath and non-invasive diagnostic labs on the first four levels with the major public circulation systems overlooking the park.
Separated by a mechanical interstitial level, four inpatient floors sit on top with the majority of the patient rooms having views over the park and river. The new state of the art prefabricated OR suites and ICU areas are also blast and attack resistant.
